Brads Boo Barn Haunted House

Brads Boo Barn Haunted House
224th Street East

In the late 90s a family moved in to the house known as the slaughterhouse looking to get out of the city. They moved in and purchased goats, cows and chickens for their new life not knowing the history of the home. After just a few weeks the animals were dying and running off as if they were being scared. The family dog went missing and the owner Brad wanted to know what was going on. He thought maybe it was just some kids messing around. That night Brad and his son Elijah camped out in the barn with the animals to see who was messing around with his animals. Just after 2 am a loud bang on the barn wall woke him. He could hear kids laughing and the animals were going crazy but no kids could be seen. He ran out in the pasture and saw one of his goats dead on the ground. The next day he took the goat to Tahoma vet to see what happened to the goat. Ashley (the white goat) was said to have died due to heart failure. But why? The receptionist told Brad that for years animals have been tormented and terrorized on that land. Brad then looked into it and found in the late 1870s there was a small church  known as the elk plain church and orphanage. The preacher Jim who ran the small church became sick and was believed to have been possessed . No one knows if it was him going crazy or if it was the demonic spiritual entities that possessed him- but he lost it. He ended up burning the church down in late october of 1882 in a spiritual war. The pastor and his wife Kim and 24 kids perished in the flames. Most records were destroyed as the residence of the bethel and elk plane community did not want to scare folks from moving to their town. Many locals will tell you about the sightings of kids playing in the old barn that was built on the foundation of the old elk plain church. From 1892 - 1931 a slaughterhouse was ran on the property but was forced to close because workers began to get to scared and the land was left empty. Then in 1947 a new farm house was built but it was cursed as two of the worker died during construction. Many animals have lost their  lives due to the spirits on this land and over the years we have seen murder, suicide and possession in the old 1947 farm house erected on the land off 224th.  After being informed and locals stepping forward and talking to Brad he wanted to get proof of the spirits himself. Over the next few months Brad started to communicate with the kids lost in the fire and he became a beliver of the paranormal. The young spirits told him they just wanted a home to call theirs and no more animals. He spent the next two summers 2010-2011 building a house from the old Slaughterhouse on the site of that old church. Brad was told by the kids they want other living kids to play with so every October he invites the public to come visit the haunted house. Brads calls it the slaughterhouse haunted house and talks about it on his website bradsboobarn.com . Neighbors say Brad has gone crazy and he is the one acting like the kids playing in the barn making kids laughter and talking to himself. If you would like to see it for yourself come out to the site of the old slaughterhouse and you will hear the kids playing in the barn. You may feel a tap on your side, pull on your paint leg or a light brush on the back of your neck but don't be scared. Its just one on the kids who want to play with you...
